ABOUT THE BRAND

The name Shear Lah Bue was created from two business owners partnering their businesses together. Opening up a studio in Benoni, offering both salon and tattoo services.

Shear Hair Studio is a beauty salon based in Johannesburg, with branches in Fourways, Bryanston and Midrand.

Lah Blue Tattoo Co is a tattoo studio based in Benoni.

THE BRIEF

The clients wanted me to create the logo for Shear Lah Blue, by combining the two existing logos together.

SOLUTION

Utilising the blue from Lah Blue Tattoo Co, I separated Shear Hair Studio's logo into white and blue to place it above Lah Blue Tattoo Co's logo. I then used a blue and white floral image for the background, which is also used in Lah Blue Tattoo Co's advertising. I used the blue colour across all creatives (pull up banner, social media content, business card and flyers), and added black and white stock images of tattooed people.
